Manual on Local Authorities and Urban Crime Prevention - Resolution 57 (1997)

Crime, fear of crime and urban insecurity are significant preoccupations affecting the public and political leaders of contemporary Europe. It is principally at the local level where the impact is felt. Therefore, the Congress of Local and Regional Authorities (CLRAE) Working Group on Crime and Urban Insecurity has prepared this manual and presents a number of causes and characteristics of crime patterns in Europe, together with proposals for local authority policies.
